The Bass Bandits found themselves at Lake Isabel for the 7th stop on the 2018 tour. It was a beautiful 85 degree day with light winds from the south at 10 mph and a few cooling gusts at 15. The lake was very lively with all of the bluegill and crappie activity going on and the bass were right behind them chomping and filling their bellies. The Bandits launched their boats at sun rise and with a trolling motor only shot gun start for the 1st half hour it was a race to the hot spots. Bass were biting early as well through the mid-morning, for every boat passing by you heard conversations of big ones getting away. It was a safe bet that every boat that day lost at least one 5lber at some point throughout the event. First timer at Lake Isabel Justin Enney weighed in a healthy 9.60 lb bag that helped keep him in 2nd place position for Angler of the Year standings, he finished 4th for the day. Bringing in 10.40 lbs were the Bader crew of Jason, Hayden, Haley and Amanda, their biggest bass of the day weighed 4.18 lbs. Another first timer on the lake was Colton Blomberg and his partner Drew who weighed in 11.04 lbs, their biggest bass that they boated for the day was 3.95 lbs. Long time teammates Paul and Tony Reinbold were no strangers to Lake Isabel and it showed with a 12.36 lb bag, they also bagged the largest bass of the tournament that weighed 4.71 lbs. Lots of fish were caught a long with a lot of heart breaks and woulda coulda shouldas but that happens when you fish a lake with a big fish potential. Their big for a reason! See Final results below.
