Reinbold Reels In The Big Ones!
It was a cloudy morning with the winds fore casted to come out of the north at 20 MPH not an idea condition to have a tournament but on we went anyways! The lake looked ready for battle weeds were everywhere and waves rolled across the water.
Surprisingly even with the difficult conditions I saw people catching fish everywhere I went across the lake, there were a lot of young anglers in the boats this week and they were having a blast as the trout were cooperating and many of them were caught and put smiles on those young faces all over the lake. A few walleyes even decided to enhance peoples fishing during the day also.
Robert Reinbold was the master angler of the day catching his limit within the first 40 minutes of the tournament and it always helps when your first fish is almost a 6 pounder! Robert set a new club record for biggest fish caught in a tournament with a 5.9 pound beauty of a bass! his winning weight totaled 9.65 pounds also a new high for the year so far! that will be hard to beat.
Second place belonged to Dan Assman and third was Eric Ehn it was a good day with 5 limits coming in over 8 pounds! making it an extremely competitive tournament. all total 30 Bass were weighed in at the end of the day and quite a few trout were also caught too!
Congratulations to our winners and see ya on the water at the next tournament which is at Raleigh Dam thanks as usual to Mike and Geo for the delicious Mini burgers and food after wards. Full results and pictures can be found on the website also updated angler of the year and rookie of the year stats.
